A pathway to healing

Rehabilitation is about much more than restoring patients' physical health: It is a journey of rebuilding lives and helping people regain their self-confidence. Through team support and continuous training, patients can overcome immense obstacles as they navigate the road to recovery. Although the journey is filled with challenges, every single step forward fuels the motivation to succeed.
In this edition of HASLink, we bring you a series of stories about our rehabilitation work. The narratives shine a light on the passion of our colleagues, who apply their ingenuity and do everything in their power to help patients regain their well-being. From advance care planning to virtual reality technology, the rehabilitation team provides comprehensive training for both patients and carers. Our specialists understand the process of recovery is both mental and physical and that it is not a solitary journey but one that also involves family members, loved ones, as well as the healthcare team.
The remarkable work of our rehabilitation team demonstrates how talent is the cornerstone of the Hospital Authority's mission of safeguarding public health. We provide a wide range of training programmes and activities to attract talented, dedicated individuals. In this issue, we take a closer look at the Finance Graduate Trainee Programme, which was launched in 2019, and various experiential activities for students to encourage more people to join our family and contribute to our mission to make lives better. We hope these stories inspire you.
