Radiology

Introduction

Department of radiology is located at Block C, G/F, main block of Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH), it started serving the public since 8th March, 1990. From the first day of service, we provide wide range of radiological examinations to citizens of northeastern New Territories, including 24-hour CT examinations and plain x-ray service in A&E.

At early stage, only plain x-ray, intravenous urography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, ultrasonography, angiography and intervention radiology services were offered. Services were enhanced in 1995 and 1996 with cardiac catheterization laboratory, mammography and magnetic resonance imaging being put in services.

Due to increasing demand of radiological examinations, we also provide service at 4/F of ambulatory care center of TMH and 3/F of rehabilitation block of TMH.

There are around 120 staff in department of radiology, including radiologists, radiographers, nurses and clerks etc.
