Medicine & Geriatrics
Introduction
The Department of Medicine and Geriatrics currently has around 100 doctors and they are serving for more than 700 beds in Tuen Mun Hospital. By collaborating closely with hundreds of nursing staff and allied health staff, we provide comprehensive clinical services to our patients in New Territories West Cluster.
Our Department has 13 specialties which provide different kinds of specialist services to our patients. The specialties include Cardiology, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology & Haematological Oncology, Infectious Disease, Advanced Internal Medicine/Ambulatory care medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Palliative Medicine, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine and Rheumatology.
Clinical Services

In-patient Specialty Clinical Services
There are more than 700 beds (including 8 beds in Cardiac Care Unit) in the Department of Medicine and Geriatrics. Every year we provide comprehensive in-patient clinical services and rehabilitation services to more than 270,000 patients.
