Learn about data privacy via interactive online course
How to handle a suspicious email?
My father will receive medical report from the attending doctor next week but I am anxious about it. Can I view the report in advance by accessing Clinical Management System (CMS)?
Technological development makes unintended access or disclosure of personal data easier. Colleagues who are found to have violated HA policies in abusing their privileges to access personal information may be subjected to disciplinary action. HA e-Learning Centre has launched a new ‘Protecting Patient Data Privacy and Security’ interactive course, the first designed for mobile phones as well, in the first quarter of 2018, from which colleagues can learn about the importance of protecting and respecting patients’ data privacy through interesting games. Exemplified by real cases, the course teaches how to appropriately use CMS and social media, correctly save personal data and wisely handle prank calls. Tips for daily work, introduction of Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and definition of patient personal data are also available in the course.
