What is workplace violence?
Workplace violence refers to ‘any incident where staff are abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances related to their work, involving an explicit or implicit challenge to their safety, physical and psychological well-being or health’. These include abusive language, intimidating words, use of any language likely to cause offence or annoyance to any person, behaving in an indecent or disorderly manner, and aggressive behaviors.
