It’s everyone’s job to get a jab

  

Get your flu jab – that’s the message à la mode at HA right now. Staff are rolling up their sleeves in response to a campaign by HA Head Office, clusters and hospitals to encourage everyone to get vaccinated before winter sets in.

Dr PY Leung, the GVP ambassador at Head Office, toured different departments earlier to call on colleagues to get a flu shot while clusters and hospitals did creative presentations to promote the vaccination programme. Some hospitals produced videos to capture colleagues’ attention, including Dr Doris Tse, Cluster Chief Executive of Kowloon West Cluster (KWC), and Annie Chan, General Manager (Nursing) of KWC, compared getting a flu jab to knitting a cardigan and scarf, showing love and care by keeping flu at bay. The representative from Kowloon Central Cluster is Dr George Ng, Consultant of Intensive Care Unit of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, plays the role of a financial analyst to teach audience taking flu jab as an investment in health. Meanwhile, colleagues from Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and Tai Po Hospital produced an original music video of ‘Roll it up’ and Queen Mary Hospital produced an adapted version of ‘Below the Lion Rock’ which was staged with vaccination‑themed lyrics.
