Clinical Pathology

Introduction

The Department of Clinical Pathology in Tin Shui Wai Hospital located on the 9th floor of Main Block will commence service on 13-March 2017, providing Core Laboratory service.

• The Core Laboratory is responsible for reception of all pathology specimens, providing crossmatch and transfusion service, general as well as urgent Chemical Pathology and Hematology services such as Hameoglobin, blood Glucose, Renal Function and Liver Function tests.
• The Microbiology Laboratory, Chemical Pathology Laboratory and Haematology Laboratory in Tuen Mun Hospital provide comprehensive range of microbiology laboratory service and other specialized laboratory services. Special laboratory tests will be sent to laboratories in Tuen Mun Hospital for processing.
• The Anatomical & Cellular Pathology Laboratory in Pok Oi Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital together provide all diagnostic anatomic pathology and cytopathology services.
