Large evergreen trees, 7–30 m tall. Bark greyish brown, branchlets stout. Leaves alternate, thinly leathery, petioles 1.2–1.5 cm long; leaf blades 10–30 × 3–8 cm, pale green abaxially. Petals 5, yellowish-green, 12–15 mm long, ovate-oblong. Berries 8–12 cm in diameter, globose, epicarp woody.2
