The Clinical Block 1 (CB1) of the phase 1 redevelopment of Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) was substantially completed in December 2024 and gradually handed over to the Hospital Authority for management and installation of medical equipment and systems.
Since late 2025, Clinical Block 1 (CB1) has been brought into service in phases. Division of Haematology (Pathology), Blood Bank and several convenience facilities such as canteen, convenience store, coffee shop and rehab shop are already in operation, offering patients, visitors and staff improved amenities and a more comfortable environment.
Currently, facilities and equipment are under rectification and testing. The hospital will work closely with ArchSD and main contractor to ensure smooth operation of clinical services after move-in.
