Ambulatory Services Centre
Ambulatory Services Centre of Pok Oi Hospital namely "Pok Oi Ambulatory Services Centre" which provides N.T. West residents with both day care and hospitalized services.
The centre is located at 2nd floor and 3rd floor of Pok Oi hospital which provides various specialized services in different service divisions:
- Electromedical Diagnostic Unit and Combined Endoscopy Unit
- Wai Yin Association Ambulatory Gynaecology Centre
- Day Ward
- Rheumatology Assessment and Treatment Centre
- 3C Day Surgery Unit
Scope of Service
Electromedical Diagnostic Unit
EDU provides various examinations including Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram, 24-hour cardiac monitoring examinations,Treadmill Exercise Test, Electroencephalograhy (EEG), Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and Nerve Conduction Test (NCT).
Combined Endoscopy Unit
Combined Endoscopy Unit serves patients living in NT West with various endoscopy services since 2007.Our unit offering hospitalized or referred patients with Oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy (OGD), Capsule endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Single-balloon Enteroscopy, Bronchoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasonography for upper Gastro-intestinal tract and lungs, and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP).
Booking Procedure
Booking could be made via respective doctors from Pok Oi Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital.

Scope of Service
Our centre provides gynaecological services to women living in New Territories West including diagnostic and surgical procedures as well as nurse-led gynaecological cares. This centre was named "Wai Yin Association Ambulatory Gynaecology Centre" on 12th June, 2008 under the "Wai Yin Association" as recognition of its generous donation towards the centre.
For female patients who are referred by doctors, a wide range of gynaecological examinations including ultrasound, non-anesthetic hysteroscopy and endometrial sampling procedure, colposcopy, cervical Pap smear, local anesthetic minor surgical procedure and blood test would be arranged according to the conditions and needs of the patients. Besides providing gynaecological check-ups, our centre also offers short-term care for those who are in need of a rest after an examination.
Our gynaecological nurses would provide psychological counseling for the patient as well as follow-ups until the treatment ends and the patient is sent back to receiving outpatient services.

Scope of Service
Day Ward offers day hospital care for those who are in need of care and observation before and after an examination or minor surgery.

Scope of Service
Our centre provides integrated rheumatology day services including assessments, biologic therapies, intra-articular steroid injections as well as health education. Patients may also be referred to receive appropriate therapy providing by other healthcare professions such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatric therapy, dietitian, psychological therapy and medical social worker. In addition to clinical treatment, our center also conducts clinical trail study in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Company.

Scope of Service
Pre-operative Assessment Service (PAS) serves New Territories West residents who prepare to have elective surgeries or procedures, with multi-specialties assessment and multi-disciplinary education. Patients having investigation, education and advice, medical assessment and nursing care in one-day will be arranged for surgeries or procedures in Pok Oi Hospital, Tin Shui Wai Hospital or Tuen Mun Hospital.
Besides, “the Summer Plan for Circumcision (S-Plan)”, a special program providing extra Operating Theatre session and PAS service day for paediatric patients who require circumcision during summer holiday so as to shorten the waiting list, reduce school life disturbance and minimize anxiety.
