Introduction

Haven of Hope Hospital is located at Tseung Kwan O, it is the key rehabilitation and extended care hospital in Hospital Authority’s Kowloon East Cluster, with a capacity of around 600 beds, serving residents in Kwun Tong, Tseung Kwan O and Sai Kung districts. The hospital provides specialist services in general medicine, geriatrics, rehabilitation, pulmonary, palliative care, orthopaedics (rehabilitation), and infirmary services.

Formerly named Haven of Hope Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Haven of Hope was founded on a barren upland by foreign missionaries in 1955 to provide medical relief service for refugees.  To meet the needs of the local community, the hospital expanded its scope of services, and was renamed Haven of Hope Hospital in the 70s.  In the 90s, the hospital joined the Hospital Authority, progressively developed both specialist services and community-based services.  Today, Haven of Hope Hospital continues to uphold the holistic care approach, aspires to become a "Hospital Without Walls" in its provision of quality healthcare services for the community.
