Convention Theme and Sub-themes
The main theme of the Hospital Authority Convention 2011 is “Collaborative Healthcare 共建民康”.  With this theme, we will explore and discuss the philosophies and concepts of collaborative healthcare across various service sectors, professions and stakeholders. We will also share knowledge and experience on approaches to developing an integrated healthcare system which is recognized for its transparent and outstanding service quality, as well as well trusted by the community.

To meet rising public demands and expectations for quality service at affordable costs, healthcare providers all over the world are grappling to find and adopt successful healthcare strategies or models of collaborative care to ensure seamless care in a sustainable healthcare system. To safeguard and enhance service and care quality, it is of paramount importance to look for continuous innovations in healthcare delivery, complemented by quantifiable and validated outcome measures on cost-effectiveness and efficacy.

The Hospital Authority Convention 2011 will have about 40 distinguished overseas and local speakers to share their expert views, knowledge and experience on various topics of interest. There will be Plenary and Symposium sessions focusing on the Convention’s main theme of “Collaborative Healthcare” and subthemes pertaining to “Pioneering Excellence in Quality Patient Care”, “Financing Sustainable Healthcare System”, “Engaging Trustworthy Services” and “Globalisation of Health Care”.

The Convention will also feature a number of Special Topic Sessions on “Healthcare in China”, “Green Hospitals”and “Patient Engagement”.  There will also be Master Classes on the topics of “Change Management in Healthcare”, “Staff Health and Wellness”, “Collaborating Traditional Chinese Medicine in Healthcare Plan” and “Services after Major Disasters” 

About the Hospital Authority Convention
The Hospital Authority Convention is one of the largest healthcare conferences in the Asian Pacific region. It has gone from strength to strength since 1993 as an international forum in which healthcare professionals, managers and policy-makers around the world share their knowledge and experience as well as the latest research findings.

The Hospital Authority Convention held in May 2010 was attended by over 3,500 clinicians and healthcare professionals, including healthcare managers and executives from Mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas. This year, we will continue to have many internationally renowned speakers to share their ideas, expertise and experience at the Convention.
