We got it!

The Hospital Authority is overjoyed to hear the news about the budget approval for the redevelopment of Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) and Kwong Wah Hospital (KWH). The good news brings a lot of excitement to all the staff from both hospitals.

"It is surely great news to us. We hope the redevelopment will help to improve all aspects of QMH including staff, patients, training, education and research," said Dr C C Luk, hospital chief executive of QMH. "We would like to thank the government for its support. We will continue to do our best."

"It is such a wonderful birthday present for KWH's 100th anniversary," said Dr Nelson Wat, hospital chief executive of KWH. "We made our first step. It's like a marathon race. Step by step, we hope to provide a better work environment for staff, and advanced health care services to the public."
