Caring Organisation Logo
Since 2002, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service has launched a Caring Company Scheme to foster effective and mutually beneficial partnership relationships among the business and social services sectors. Tin Shui Wai Hospital has demonstrated good corporate citizenship in the following three areas - Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees and Caring for the Environment. TSWH is entitled to display the Caring Organisation Logo to show the public that we care about the community and are socially responsible.
List of Barrier-free Companies / Organisations
List of Barrier-free Companies / Organisations aims to recognise the Caring Companies or Caring Organisations that proactively support and create a barrier-free environment and culture. There are 2 adjudication scopes, namely “Barrier-free Communication” and “Barrier-free Environment”, and a total of 13 criteria under the List. To fulfil the minimum requirement, all companies / organisations must fulfil a minimum of 2 criteria under each of the 2 scopes. After verification assessment and on-site assessment visit, companies / organisations fulfilling the minimum requirements will be examined by the Adjudication Panel to consider for inclusion in the List, as a manner of encouragement.
Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence - Certificate of Merit
The Hong Kong Awards of Environmental Excellence is an annual award that encourages organisations to implement environmental management, measure organisations’ performance on their commitment to environmental management within the industry, and recognises organisations with excellent performance on environmental management. This year, Pok Oi Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital have been awarded jointly for the Public and Community Service - Certificate of Merit of the HKAEE, which recognised the excellent environmental management and implementations of environmental initiatives of Pok Oi Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital.
Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification
The Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification (HKGOC), led by the Environmental Campaign Committee alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organizations, aims to benchmark green performance of the organisations and encourages them to adopt environmental practices in waste reduction, energy saving, carbon reduction and indoor air quality improvement. This year, Pok Oi Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital have implemented environmental initiatives in different aspects and have been awarded jointly for the title of Hong Kong Green Organisation which recognises the efforts and commitments to the environment and the excellent green management of Pok Oi Hospital and Tin Shui Wai Hospital.
Wastewi$e Certificate
“Wastewi$e Certificate” is one of the four Certificates under HKGOC which encourages initiatives on waste reduction. Tin Shui Wai Hospital has fulfilled the requirements of the Scheme and is authorised to use the Wastewi$e Logo, in recognising the waste reduction efforts of the hospital.
Carbon Reduction Certificate
The Carbon Reduction Certificate aims to encourage carbon reduction efforts in the community, and to recognize buildings or organizations that achieved a verified absolute reduction of overall carbon emissions. Tin Shui Wai Hospital has been awarded the Carbon Reduction Certificate of the Hong Kong Green Organization Certification and is authorized to use the Carbon Reduction Logo, in recognizing the hospital has achieved 43% carbon footprint reduction against the baseline and implemented effectiveness measures regarding environmental protection.
IAQwi$e Certificate
The IAQwi$e Certificate is one of the recognition schemes of the HKAEE, which aims to recognise organizations for their commitment to and efforts in environmental protection through improving indoor air quality (IAQ). Tin Shui Wai Hospital has executed a voluntary and self-regulatory approach for the annual certification of IAQ. In this year, Tin Shui Wai Hospital has fulfilled the requirements of the Scheme and is authorized to use the “Excellence Level” IAQwi$e Certificate and logo, in recognizing the hospital has demonstrated exceptional leadership within the IAQ management for protect the environment and ensure the health of staffs and the public.
