Kwong Wah Hospital situates at the center of one of the most crowded urban areas, Mongkok. In addition to the hustle and bustle of activity around the site, the limited ground supply within the site and the health care service's nature together result in obstacle to better green achievement.

Setting up the interior safety, health, environmental and quality management system in conformity with criteria of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 does equip the hospital with a precise guides and direction towards our goals. Upon the award of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, hospital has fully adopted a systematic approach in implementing safety, health, environmental and quality goals.  Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Team (SHEQ Team).
The function of SHEQ Team is to discuss the environmental issue within the site, implementing the environmental activities, reviewing and monitoring the progress of annual objectives. The team is set up in accordance with Senior Facility Manager, supervisors as well as the environmental monitor. In general, meeting is held semi-annually in exception of particular emergent condition

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
There is audit by HKQAA in half-year basis for determining whether extends the certificate or not. In fact, auditor from HKQAA is precise enough for enforcement of implementation of environmental together with health and safety goals. Certainly, we have continuously achieved extension of certificate since the award of ISO 14001 and the reason is attributed to our persistence in our goals and struggle for environmental improvement, safety culture and quality services.  Kwong Wah Hospital and TWGHs Wong Tai Sin Hospital is first of its kinds awarding the certificate of ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001. Admittedly the achievement would enhance the environmental performance in different aspects within the site.
