                                    the private health system are described with graphics. Areas covered include: The differences between the two systems;
                                    major hospitals, beds and intensive care disposal for each system.; numbers of medical consultation and procedures in
                                    hospitalisations; coverage, global gross domestic product and the health participation; total expenditure spent in medical

Wednesday, 4 May Intelligent Data Entry System in Clinical Practice
                                    Chen JR
                                    Yunlin Christian Hospital, Taiwan

                                    Manual data input is frequently encountered in clinical practice. A typographical error may lead to patient safety incident. One
                                    of the challenges in clinical care nowadays is to provide quick and accurate methods of data entry that will allow caregivers
                                    to focus on patient care and reduce medical errors.

                                    The new wireless data acquisition system (WiDAS) provides solution to such challenges. By applying a wireless bluetooth
                                    dongle with RS 232 interface to old version of medical equipment with standard RS 232 port, it can update the machine
                                    to Bluetooth transmitting capability without buying a new one. Through this wireless data capture with hand held devices,
                                    related apps with many functions can be developed that intelligent clinical care either inside or across healthcare facilities
                                    becomes a reality.
