five pillars for health, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital aims to improve the health and well being of its employees and patients.
It is well known that happiness is derived from within oneself and not from outside. Hence, programmes for self-development
help shape the thinking and paradigm of our people. Through strong human resource management, we strive to create a
learning environment for personal growth, facilitate work fit at major life transitions, and help our employees find worklife fit

Who are Our Generation Y and Z? Survey on Generation Y and Z in Hong Kong and Mainland HOSPITAL AUTHORITY CONVENTION 2015

The workforce nowadays becomes younger with a lower average age. Knowing the characteristics and preference of younger
generation is essential to bring a win-win situation where the productivity of enterprise and competence of young employees
can be improved.
The session aims to help employers comprehend the preferences and traits about generation Y and Z; the differences
between young generations in Hong Kong and Mainland in workplace, so as to develop appropriate strategies to work
effectively with generation Y and Z for future business development.
Incorporating personal experience, the session will share some interesting insights about specialties of generation Y and Z
obtained from comprehensive data analysis which includes researches on both employers and young employees in Hong
Kong and Mainland China. Recommendations will also be made on better use of these characteristics to motivate new
generations to improve their work performance.
