Project Application
Eligible Applicants
Researchers from the following UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong are welcome to submit applications to access HADCL for conducting health data collaboration projects:
- City University of Hong Kong
- Hong Kong Baptist University
- Lingnan University
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- The Education University of Hong Kong
- The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
- The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
- The University of Hong Kong
Application Submission
Researchers may fill in the online application form for access to HADCL for conducting health data collaboration projects. If further details of Data Catalogue are required for specifying the data requirement, please contact HADCL Office. Upon successful submission, an acknowledgement email will be issued by the system with an assigned application number to facilitate future communication.
Application Assessment
The assessment of the proposals for the health data collaboration projects will be based on the following criteria:
- For public good
- Readiness of requested data and tools
HADCL Assessment Panel Meeting is conducted once per year for assessment of applications. In the scenario that access to HADCL cannot be arranged for researchers of all eligible applications due to unavailability of facilities, researchers are welcome to re-submit their applications in the subsequent cycle.
Project Acceptance
HADCL Office will inform the concerned researchers once a period is assigned for access to HADCL for conducting a research project. Researchers have to sign the collaboration agreement and undertaking as an acceptance of accessing HADCL.
Project Preparation
Upon receiving the acceptance, HADCL Office will prepare the required data listed on Data Catalogue and available tools provided by HADCL platform. Then HADCL Office will inform the concerned researchers of the related arrangements for access to HADCL.
Project Output
Subject to compliance with the data privacy requirements as stipulated in the agreement and undertaking for the collaboration, researchers are welcome to publish their research findings and may also request for release of their research outputs (e.g. model / algorithm) after completion of the health data collaboration projects in HADCL.
