Introduction

The Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department of Tuen Mun Hospital was established in 1990 and it began to provide 24 hours A&E services since 1992. We are committed to providing people-oriented and quality health care services for our patients.

Scope of Service

Apart from providing comprehensive A&E services, our department also plays the following roles for our patients.

1. We operate an Emergency Radiation Treatment Centre (ERTC) that can deliver radiation emergency treatment.
2. Tuen Mun Hospital is one of the five designated major trauma centers in Hong Kong providing timely treatment for major trauma patients in multi-disciplinary approach.
3. We provide Emergency Medical Team to support the pre-hospital management of victims in disaster that happens in the New Territories West region.
4. There is a helipad in Tuen Mun Hospital receiving patients transferred from helicopter to A&E Department
