Multidisciplinary Simulation and Skills Centre
Introduction
Multi-Disciplinary Simulation and Skills Centre (MDSSC) was established in 2011, aims to facilitate continuous improvement and achieving excellence in healthcare through simulation-based as well as skill-based learning.
MDSSC provides training service under multidisciplinary governance, fulfilling the core missions:
- Develop quality and standards of advanced team based training, for crisis situations and daily clinical scenarios.
- Provide support for individual skills training: from basic level to highly complex and specialized area.
- Facilitate innovations, explore new frontiers in simulation-based learning and research.
MDSSC is well equipped with advanced equipment and simulated clinical facilities. In 2014, accreditation in the area of Teaching/Education was granted by Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
Scope of Services
MDSSC is one of the full-motion simulation training units in Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA), offers a variety of training courses in transdisciplinary team-based training and advanced crossed specialty training. Our prime training focuses are Emergency care, Vascular & Traumatology training.
