Clinical Oncology
Introduction
The Department of Clinical Oncology in Queen Elizabeth Hospital has been relocated to Block R since 1996. It is a 15-storey purposely- built building. Our department provides radiotherapy treatment, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, in-patient care, out-patient care and palliative care services to cancer patients living in Central Kowloon region. Workload of our department accounts for around 25% of the total workload of the 6 clinical oncology centres of the Hospital Authority. Two new Linear Accelerators have been installed in the Ambulatory Care Centre Extension Block (Block T) since 2017 for meeting the growing service demand.

Radiotherapy Treatment Service | 7 linear accelerators, 1 TomoTherapy system, 1 high dose-rate (HDR) remote afterloading brachytherapy device, 2 CT Simulators, 1 X-Ray Simulator, and Stereotactic Radiotherapy system |

Hong Kong Cancer Registry | to provide cancer incidence database and statistical information for education and research purpose |

Cancer Patient Resource Centre | to support patients and their families by providing psychological support and counseling services, holding educational talks / workshops, developing patient support groups / volunteering service, providing cancer information, offering rehabilitation appliances loan services, etc. |
