Volunteer Registration

In view of the nature of services in HA, volunteering work in healthcare settings call for a certain level of responsibility and maturity. The minimum age for registered volunteer is 15 years of age. No upper age limit is considered necessary for volunteers serving HA as long as their health conditions are good and fit for the intended volunteering tasks. Written parent’s or guardian’s permission is required for volunteer applicants who are below 18. Volunteer records are to be maintained confidentially, following HA’s personal data (privacy) guidelines.

All volunteers engaged in patient support services in HA must be registered with its hospitals or institutions before commencing service, using a standardized registration form. In order to facilitate the provision of insurance coverage for volunteers, registration is necessary prior to any assigned activities, including orientation and core training.
