A. Volunteer Training

1. Induction Training
  • Core training includes:
    • Introduction to NTEC volunteer services
    • Infection control and prevention (renew bi-annually)
    • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of volunteers, along with their code of practices
    • Basic knowledge on fire safety
    • Understanding of data privacy
    • Basic knowledge of occupational safety and health
    • Basic communication skills
  • Orientation offered by service departments
2. On-the-job Training:
On the job Training
  • Training courses covering skills like wheelchair usage, and advanced communication skills will be provided by Health Resource Centre, service departments, NTEC and Hospital Authority Head Office to enhance and consolidate volunteers’ service skills.

  • Age 15 or above
  • Committed to contributing continuous service for at least one year
  • Applicants are required to undergo selection interview and complete volunteer core training before registering as a volunteer
