Specialist Clinics provide consultation, treatment and investigations to patients referred by hospitals, general out-patient clinics and private practitioners. The Ambulatory Care Centre at Tuen Mun Hospital provides the following services:

Booking Arrangement of New Case

For arrangement of new case appointment, you should provide following documents:

  • Doctor’s referral letter issued by Hong Kong registered medical practitioner within the last 3 months ( Please verify patient’s Chinese and English name on the referral letter with the HKID or travel document ) and
  • Patient Identity documents
  • Correspondence address

The Antenatal Clinic of Tuen Mun Hospital and the four Maternal and Child Health Centers in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai jointly provide prenatal services to the pregnant women in the district. Tuen Mun hospital mainly caters for high-risk pregnant mothers of those with complication during pregnancy.

Notice to Patient

  1. Patients must provide the original of the valid identity documents for registration on the date of appointment:
    1. For patient at or above 11 years old, please present the valid Hong Kong Identity Card or other valid identity documents (excluding Hong Kong Birth Certificate).
    2. For patient under 11 years old, please present the following valid documents:
      • Patient's Hong Kong Identity Card; or
      • Patient's Hong Kong Birth Certificate indicating his/her right as a Hong Kong permanent resident is “established”; or
      • document issued by the HKSAR Immigration Department to the patient indicating his/her right to land/stay in Hong Kong, e.g. Visa, Permit to Remain in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
    3. For patient under 42 days' old and has not obtained Birth Certificate, please present the following valid documents:
      • Immunization Record AND mother's valid identity documents*; or
      • Immunization Record, Marriage Certificate AND father's valid identity documents*
        *Valid Identity documents are:
        1. Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card; or
        2. Hong Kong Identity Card (Non-Permanent) and Visa / documents issued by the HKSAR Immigration Department indicating the parent(s) has not overstayed ; or
        3. Identity / Travel document issued by the Peoples' Republic of China
  2. For each time of consultation, patients have to present the original of valid identity documents to confirm the eligibility for subsidized public healthcare service. If the related identity documents cannot be provided, patients will be charged at the rate of Non-Eligible Person as stipulated in the Gazette.
