Function of MDSSC Curriculum Committee

The primary function of the MDSSC Curriculum Committee is to make major decisions in the best interests of the simulation training programs and ensure that the programs align with MDSSC’s mission statement.

The MDSSC Curriculum Committee serves as a party of expertise to review objectives, content, methods, evaluation process, and quality of the submitted curriculum of simulation program to MDSSC. Committee members will make comment, recommendation, and feedback evaluations regarding the submitted course proposal and curriculum.  The Curriculum Committee may operate in small teams that are organized under the direction of the Curriculum Committee Chair and MDSSC Directors. Each team is tasked with evaluating one course/ program at a time.  The curriculum evaluation process of each submitted program is of importance for center development, course refinement, and professional development for trainers.
