New Appointment Booking

New patients or their relatives could make the appointment in person by presenting a referral letter from a Hong Kong registered doctor issued within three months, identification documents, and proof of residential address (e.g. water or electricity bill) issued within the recent 6 months to facilitate future communication.

¡mBookHA¡nmobile application of the Hospital Authority provides mobile platform for the public to submit application for Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOPC) new case appointment. This mobile application also provides information of SOPC new case booking waiting time, address and contact number of SOPCs.

Consultation Procedures

Patients should attend the clinic according to the scheduled date and time, bringing along their appointment slip and other related documents, such as consultation card, ID card, children’s birth certificate, and proof of residential address (e.g. water or electricity bill) issued within the recent 6 months. Please go to the Shroff on G/F, North Wing of Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinic for payment.

Civil servants, retired civil servants and their eligible family members, HA staff, retired HA staff and their eligible family members must first proceed to the Shroff on G/F, North Wing of Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinic to declare their eligibility for medical benefits.

The shroff on G/F of North Wing of the Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinic is open from 8am to 4:45pm from Monday to Friday and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. You can use EPS to pay the $80 fees for each subsequent appointment.

After payment, go to the clinic concerned and hand in the appointment slip, consultation card and relevant documents, then wait in the lobby. The time specified on the appointment slip is your registration time, not consultation time. Please arrive at the clinic 15 minutes before the registration time.

If follow-up consultation is required, please bring the appointment slip to the clinic concerned to arrange for the next appointment. Please collect a new appointment slip afterwards.

If drugs have been prescribed, please pay first at the shroff on G/F, South Wing and then submit the prescription form to the pharmacy. The pharmacy shroff on G/F of South Wing of the Li Ka Shing Specialist Outpatient Clinic is open from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday, and closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

If X-ray examination, electrocardiographic examination, lung and cardio function test, endoscopic examination, physiotherapy or interview with dietitian is required, please go to the department concerned for arrangement.

Non Emergency Ambulance Transfer Service

Patients who wish to use the service can inform staff of the specialist outpatient clinic or ward. Those who have been assessed by healthcare staff as meeting the service criteria would be provided transfer between their residence and the hospital at no charge.

Arrangement under Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Signal

When black rainstorm warning signal or typhoon signal number 8 or above is hoisted, all clinics will be closed. Please follow the instructions of the clinic concerned for rearrangement of appointment.

Cancel or Change Appointment

Please attend the clinic according to the scheduled date and time. If you are unable to do so, please arrange for re-booking as soon as possible. Please refer to the respective information sheets or ask the clinic staff for details.

Medication Problems

Follow the instructions on the drug label when taking and storing medications.

If you encounter shortage of drugs, please bring the containers back to our pharmacy for enquiries or call the clinic to seek advice.

If you feel unwell after taking the drugs, please bring the drugs and the containers to any nearby clinic and seek consultation. In case of emergencies, attend the Accident and Emergency Department. You may also call or come to the clinic to seek advice.
