Department of Surgery

Since its establishment in 1982, the Department of Surgery has been striving for providing the best undergraduate and post-graduate medical education as well as quality medical care to the public. The achievements of the Department are multi-faceted and the followings are a few examples:

HEPATOBILIARY AND PANCREATIC SURGERY

• Establishment of Joint Hepatoma Clinic (1984)

• Development of Selective Internal Radiation to treat inoperable liver cancer (1990)
