The aim of the patient group services is to enhance mutual help among patients and strengthen their coping ability in handling problems caused by the illnesses.

The following are patient self-help groups in PWH :

1/ PWH Burn Patient Self-help Group

Target : PWH Burn Patient and Families
Activities : Talks, Sharing Sessions, Outings, Volunteer Visits and Overseas
Exchange Programmes

2/ Adult Blood Cancer Group

Target : Blood Cancer/ Lymphoma Patients and Families
Activities : Talks, Sharing Sessions, Outings, Volunteer Visits and Overseas
Exchange Programmes

3/ CA Breast Patient Group

Target : PWH CA Breast Patients and Families
Activities : Talks, Counseling Group Sessions and Sharing Sessions

4/ IVF Counseling Group

Target : PWH patients receiving In Vitro Fertilization
Activities : A 4-session counseling group, organize twice a year, topics of
sessions are conducted by doctor, sharing session, and talks on stress management and interpersonal relationship by social worker and nurses

5/ NNU Parents Group

Target : PWH Neo-Natal Unit Babies and Parents
Activities : Talks, Sharing Sessions, Outings, Gatherings and Volunteer
Visits

6/ HK Cornea Concern Association

Target : Patient with Cornea Disease and Families
Activities : Talks, Sharing Sessions, Outings, Volunteer Visits and Overseas
