The public healthcare fees and charges reform of the Hospital Authority (HA) has officially taken effect from 1 Jan 2026, while enhanced medical fee waiver mechanism has also been introduced to provide assistance for patients who have financial difficulties, aiming to strengthen healthcare protection. To provide further convenience for patients applying enhanced medical fee waiver, the HA has established dedicated teams to concentrate on handling the application in an orderly manner.
