Irene Yeung I have inspired the spirit of caring from our health care team. We can try all measures to promote health in the community. No matter how many drug abuse teenagers that is successful to quit in this movement, we have offered a helping hands or resource to them. We have to persistently support this youth with advocation 'never give up'.

KL Choo I read with interest the entries of HospBlog about ketamine abuse among teenagers. What led these teenagers to drug experimentation and eventually the path of addiction? Why is the utilisation of Substance Abuse Clinic and the Tai Po Wellness Clinic low? The NDH outreach clinic seems to be a step in the right direction. In Malcom Gladwell's book, "The Tipping Point" refers to that moment in an epidemic when a virus reaches critical mass or the "boiling point", so what are the factors that led to this ketamine abuse epidemic? The convenience of the nasal inhalational route? Peer influence? Lack of healthy recreational or psychosocial support network for teens? In "The Tipping Point", there was a story of the beauty parlour being used as a venue for promotion of health education on breast cancer and delivered in a folklorist manner. To use the same analogy, should the outreach extend to karaoke lounges, game arcades or wherever these youngsters frequent? What are other ways to stop this epidemic? Is it possible to divert the teenagers' interest and path away from drug abuse? My admiration goes to te social workers and all our colleagues who make the effort to reach out to these youngsters at their level...
