Hospital Volunteer Services

Objectives

NDH Volunteer Team has been established since 1998, our goals are:

1. Assist the Hospital in providing efficient and high quality health care services；
2. Promote “self-help” and “caring” spirit；
3. Act as a bridge between patients and the community to promulgate harmony culture；
4. Collaborate with community organizations to promote healthy life style.

Scope of Services

• Enquiry；
• Ward visitation；
• Assist in selling rehab products in Rehab Shop；
• Provide supporting services；
• Assist in conducting patient caring activities；
• Patient festival caring activities；
• Voluntary tutor (e.g. handicrafts tutor).

Target

1. Aged 15 or above, willing to serve patients and relative with a heart.
2. Commit at least 30 service hours in a year.
3. Aged below 18 with consent from guardians.

All applicants would go through face-to-face interview and attend mandatory training before providing service in the hospital. Regular volunteer exchanges, continuous trainings and acknowledgement activities would be organized to enhance their service skills and sense of accomplishment.
