Redevelopment of Kwong Wah Hospital

To facilitate the Redevelopment Project, a number of preparation works had been done including the relocation of clinical wards and non-clinical service units. All non-clinical service units were relocated to Kwong Wah Building in Kowloon Hospital in stages.
To pay tribute to the hospital buildings and staff, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Hospital Authority joined hands to organize a ceremony "Our Tribute to Kwong Wah Hospital Buildings in the 1960s" Ceremony - Commencement of Redevelopment Project on 31 May 2016. Medical staff across different departments alongside the retired staff as well as the guests assembled at the Hospital to pay tribute to the service buildings as well as the quality services delivered by the hospital staff before the commencement of the redevelopment project.
Dr Ko Wing-man, BBS, JP, Secretary for Food and Health of HKSAR was invited as the Guest-of-Honour. Mrs Katherine Ma, Chairman of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals; Prof John Leong Chi-Yan, SBS, JP, Chairman of Hospital Authority, Dr Leung Pak-yin, JP, Chief Executive of Hospital Authority; Board Members of TWGHs; Board Members of Hospital Authority; and Members of Hospital Governing Committee of Kwong Wah Hospital were also presented to support the "Our Tribute to Kwong Wah Hospital Buildings in the 1960s" Ceremony - Commencement of Redevelopment Project.
