Key Responsibilities :

1. Perform donor selection and health screening to assess donor suitability and eligibility for blood donation.
2. Provide personalized counseling and education to the deferred donors.
3. Perform venipuncture on blood donors to ensure safe and efficient blood collection.
4. Provide post donation care and monitor donors for any adverse reactions.
5. Monitor the blood collection process to ensure the quality control of blood products throughout collection, storage, and delivery processes.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures and practices to comply with international standard for record control and facilitate traceability.
7. Work under the framework of integrated quality management system, Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and in compliance with the relevant accreditation standards to uphold the blood safety and quality.
8. Promote blood donation and donor engagement.
9. Supervise the performance of supporting staff at the blood collection venue to ensure optimal operations and donor care.

Entry Requirements :

1. A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
2. Fluent Cantonese.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure :

1. Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English.
2. Has experience in venepuncture.
3. Able to work independently and under pressure.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Experience in quality improvement activities.
