Service Targets
Day Rehabilitation Centre (DRC) provides ambulatory rehabilitation services for stroke and medical patients from Kowloon Central Cluster, including Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital, Kowloon Hospital, Kwong Wah Hospital, Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital, TWGHs Wong Tai Sin Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Scope of Services
DRC provides a one‐stop, integrated, multi‐disciplinary, program‐based, intensive and time‐limited rehabilitation training, led by specialist
1. Enhances patients’ physical, functional and social independence with specific needs in the community
2. Provides training and education for carers

Referral Procedures
1. Assess and refer the appropriate patients for rehabilitation by either Geriatrician, medical officer, stroke nurse specialist or the pre-discharge team
2. Fax the following documents to HKBH DRC by the referring unit / department:
· HKBH DRC Referral
· Patient’s discharge summary (for in-patient only)
· Patient’s physiotherapy summary (for in-patient only)
· Patient’s occupational therapy summary (for in-patient only)
