| · | Provide rehabilitation and convalescent care for patients transferred from Department of Medicine of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, including general Medical patients and patients under Geriatric team. | ||||||
| · | Provide treatment and care for patients transferred from A&E Department of Queen Elizabeth Hospital. | ||||||
| Day Ward Service | |||||||
| · | Serve patients discharged from Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital, with special procedures or diagnostic / pathology reports to be reviewed. These arrangements may shorten the length of stay in hospital and the patients can be reviewed within reasonable time frame. | ||||||
| Day Rehabilitation Centre | |||||||
| · | Provide ambulatory rehabilitation service, including stroke rehabilitation and medical rehabilitation. | ||||||
| Specialist Out-patient Clinic | |||||||
| · | Provide assessment and management to medical diseases in ambulatory care setting, including chronic medical problems such as Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension. | ||||||
| · | Receive referral from General Out-Patient Clinics, Private Practitioners and other doctors. | ||||||
| · | Sub-specialty clinics include: | ||||||
| 1. | Memory Clinic provides comprehensive service in the diagnosis and treatment of people with dementia or suspected to have dementia. Geriatrician works closely with Occupational Therapists and NGO. | ||||||
| 2. | Cardiac Clinic provides assessment and treatment to patients with complex cardiac symptoms, with close collaboration with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Cardiac Unit and in the arrangement of cardiac intervention in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. | ||||||
