Chairman delivers festive sweet treat to A&E colleagues

Colleagues working in the Accident & Emergency Departments at Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) and Princess Margaret Hospital during the festive season received an unexpected surprise in the form of a visit from Hospital Authority Chairman Professor John Leong, who brought cookies as gifts to thank them for their hard work to combat winter surge. Professor Leong was also eager to know whether they had found time in their busy schedules to attend any Christmas or New Year parties.

Professor Leong gave colleagues at TMH a big thumbs-up for installing a self - service waiting time enquiry system at TMH A&E Department that enables patients to check their estimated waiting time by simply scanning their queuing system ticket. Yet Professor Leong went even further to encourage colleagues to work on more advanced facilities for patients’ convenience.
