Construction projects to increase service capacity in NTWC

The extension of the Operating Theatre (OT) Block at Tuen Mun Hospital in the New Territories West Cluster is moving closer to becoming a reality. Already supported by the local District Council and Panel on Health Services of Legislative Council (LegCo), HA will submit funding request to LegCo’s Finance Committee, which, if granted, will see the project start as soon as next year with a scheduled completion date of 2020. The new OT Block will have at least 18 operating theatres and other facilities and will help reduce the high occupancy rate of operating theatres in the hospital.

Construction work of Tin Shui Wai Hospital's Main Block has reached the fourth and fifth floor. It is expected the hospital will roll out its services in phases next year. Yuen Long District Council members recently visited the construction site, where they were briefed on its progress.醫院管理局
