he Topping Out Ceremony of the Tseung Kwan O Hospital (TKOH) Ambulatory Block was officiated on June 8 by Minister of Health, PRC, Prof Chen Zhu. The expansion project of TKOH comprises the establishment of an Ambulatory Block, and the
conversion and renovation of the Hospital Main Block to cope with increasing demands for healthcare service. The Ambulatory Block will begin service in the first quarter of
2012, followed by the second stage conversion and renovation of the Hospital Main
Block. The entire project should be completed during the first quarter of 2013.

eveloped by HA Information Technology Services, the Mortuary Information System (MORIS) received the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2011 for Best Public Service Application Award (Transformation) Certificate of Merit, following two rounds of presentations. The winning entry of a 2D barcode, showcased how radio frequency identification technology and controlled workflow can improve the quality of mortuary work and safeguard body identification. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 15 April 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Created for patients tending to suffer from depression, the show encouraged a positive attitude in a light-hearted, interactive way. Mr Lam's upcoming performances will take place at the Princess Margaret Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital.

o make way for the new MTR West Island Line, David Trench Rehabilitation Centre (DTRC) recently relocated to the former Upper Levels Police Station (No. 8 Police Station) in High Street, and opened its door to the public in April 2011. Funded by MTR Corporation, this HK$300 million project occupies a total floor area of approximately 10,000 square metres. DTRC offers mental health rehabilitation services and physical therapy, and is expected to serve about 600 patients every day.
