n enrolled nurse of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH), Ms Li Wing-yi goes above and beyond her duties and surpasses expectation.

This was exemplified in 2006 when TMH centralised their ventilator dispatch and maintenance service. In addition to her usual duties, Ms Li successfully managed the dispatch and handling of 65 ventilators with her team. The service decreased the damage rate of the ventilators, cut down on downtime and turnover time and improved supply. It also allowed ICU nurses to spend more time caring for patients.

In 2009, Ms Li assisted with the commissioning and opening of ICU of the Pok Oi Hospital (POH). Aware of the tight timeframe and limited manpower, she successfully created a systematic consumable store, workflow of equipment maintenance and stock level control system.

She would like to thank her supervisors for their assurance and providing the opportunity for her to excel. She also thanks her family for their support. Her motto is "to accomplish tasks today and not leaving them until tomorrow, so that each one will be perfect."
