or over three decades, Dr Fong enhances the service development of Neurosurgery with his strong professional knowledge, vision and innovation. His achievements on the Paediatric Epilepsy Program at New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) are well recognized.

His belief in a holistic approach to patient care led to the creation of self-help groups "NeuroPal" and "NeuroKids", a joint collaboration with healthcare specialists who share his passion for integrated treatment.

Prior to Dr Fong's current role as President of The Hong Kong Stroke Society, he was the President of The Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Neurosurgical Society. He is frequently invited to give didactic lectures to fellow colleagues and societies, and as editor to medical publications, local and abroad.

Young doctors working with Dr Fong receive ample training and professional opportunity, as he fosters a positive work environment by leading with empowerment and trust. He assigns each task to the most appropriate colleague, based on individual strengths and capabilities.

Dr Fong wishes to thank the whole multi-disciplinary team working with him for their effort to deliver the best to patients from illness to recovery since neurosurgical operation is only the first step in the whole journey.
