r David Rossiter left the HA on 24 November 2010, after eight years as our Head of Human Resources Director. During this time, he placed great emphasis on improving human resources management and staff welfare, as well as providing training and development opportunities to help managers and staff grow and develop for the greater benefit of the organisation.

Paying tribute to David's hard work and dedication, our Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, said: "We have gone through many difficult times and endured hardship together in order to restore the HA's stability and the morale of its staff."

David will return to live in Australia. We wish him happiness and all the best in his future endeavours. A recruitment process to fill the vacancy created by David's departure is now underway. Meanwhile, Dr Derrick Au Kit-sing became the Deputising Head of Human Resources on 25 November 2010, in addition to his existing duties as Hospital Chief Executive of Kowloon Hospital.
