The Head Office Training and Development Unit has launched a series of new online courses for professional and support colleagues. By logging on to the e-Learning web page at http://elc/ , you'll be able to embark on an enjoyable learning journey at any time and in any place.

These three new courses should particularly catch your attention:

1. Survival Kit for New Leaders

This course will provide you with practical tips about people management issues, financial funding, procurement policy and procedures. It is one of the six core modules of the Management 101 programme, and five credits will be awarded upon completion.

2. Microsoft 2007

An interactive course on commonly used functions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft Word 2007 and Microsoft Excel 2007 are two of the six elective modules of the Management 101 programme, and three credits will be granted upon completion of each module.

3. Microsoft 2007 for Support Staff

An interactive course about Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications.

Courses 1 and 2 are aim at newly appointed frontline leaders with the rank of Associate Consultant, Advanced Practice Nurse, Therapist I, Hospital Administrator I, Executive Officer I or their equivalents. Course 3 is suitable for Clerks II, Clerks III, Health Care Assistants, Clinical Service Assistants, Technical Service Assistants, General Service Assistants, Workmen I/II or their equivalents.
