  Enhanced staff medical benefits concerning drugs
 

The HA Board has approved a proposal to extend the range of drugs supplied free of charge to eligible staff members, retirees and eligible family members to include all those listed in the HA formulary (except lifestyle drugs).

If you are in one of the above mentioned categories of people, you will be able to obtain these drugs from HA pharmacies, with effect from 4 November and subject to confirmation of your clinical need for them and their availability in the clinic or hospital concerned.

The relevant approval and administration procedures will also be streamlined. In future, you will not need to seek the approval of a Cluster Chief Executive or HA's Chief Executive.

To enjoy these benefits, you must advise the staff at the hospital or clinic's registration counter or admission office that you are eligible for government/HA medical/dental benefits. You must also produce an identification document when you seek medical or dental treatment.
