New payroll system goes live with new look on payslip

W ith the launch of the Human Capital Management (HCM) module of the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) System in August, your payslips have also taken on a new format. When you receive your August payslip in early September, you will notice that in addition to a new layout, your Chinese name and a newly assigned employee number have been printed on it. Also, your Hong Kong ID card number is masked to better protect your privacy.

Upon receiving your new payslip, please check your July Basic Salary and Cash Allowance against those for August as indicated in the diagram on the left. Due to different calculation methods, there might be a few cents of discrepancies. If minor allowances/expenses are not paid in this pay period, they will be reimbursed in the following month.

Coming on stream with the HCM module is the Eligibility Checking System (ECS) which will replace the existing HA181/HA182 forms. Starting from 18 October, you and your eligible dependents can enjoy medical services at HA and government clinics by showing your Hong Kong ID card and declaring your HA employee/dependent status. So, make sure you have informed your Human Resources Department of any changes in your personal or dependant data to continue with your medical benefits.
