The 3-day HA Convention was held with unprecedented success
The Hospital Authority (HA) Convention 2025 ended successfully on 28 May. It was the largest-scale HA Convention with an extended period of three days and more than 8,000 participants, including approximately 190 experts from around the world sharing their insights.
It was also the first time for the HA to organise the 2025 International Conference on International Hospital Accreditation and Quality-Safety, and the HA Convention - Shenzhen Session in Qianhai, Shenzhen for two consecutive days. The two-day event marks the HA’s first major medical conference held outside Hong Kong, promoting medical exchange between healthcare sectors of Hong Kong and different regions, as well as enhancing service quality.
Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) has obtained national accreditation for its Chest Pain Centre earlier on, becoming the first accredited Chest Pain Centre in Hong Kong. The accreditation ceremony was held on the first day of the convention, validating QMH’s professional expertise in acute cardiac care. The HA and the National Conference of University Hospital General Managers of France also signed a three-year declaration of intent, hoping to promote the development of research and innovation, etc. by strengthening collaboration and exchanges in medical-related areas between the two parties.
The convention was concluded with an award presentation ceremony for the HA Outstanding Staff and Teams and Young Achievers Award. This year, seven staff members, six teams, and 14 young achievers were awarded in recognition of their professionalism. They embraced patient-centred philosophy to achieve extraordinary results.
