HA Nursing School inaugurated to strengthen nursing education

In order to further enhance nursing training, the Hospital Authority (HA) has consolidated its four nursing schools, including the Registered Nursing Schools at Caritas Medical Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital, as well as the Enrolled Nursing School at Grantham Hospital, to establish the HA Nursing School. The inauguration ceremony was successfully held on 30 May. The newly established HA Nursing School, under the coordination and management of the HA Academy, will enable more effective utilisation of the teaching resources and facilities, and more flexible arrangement on clinical practicum and placements. This provides students with more comprehensive training and development opportunities, enhancing the overall quality of nursing education.

The HA also held its first joint graduation ceremony to congratulate the first batch of Professional Diploma in Nursing Programme graduates on the same day. About 300 graduates from the HA Nursing School have successfully obtained their professional qualification as Registered Nurses and joined the healthcare workforce. The HA will continue to nurture nursing professionals to meet the future development needs of healthcare services.
