Q: If you could turn back time and meet someone, whom would he/she be? And why?

Lee Lung-sang A: I would like to meet Florence Nightingale. She was a tough leader who emerged stronger from difficulties. During wartime, she made sacrifices for patients and led the reform of field hospitals to improve patients’ conditions and nursing standards so that they received better care.

Wanne Cheng Man-wai A: I would go back to see Stephen Hawking. I want to know how he broke through the limitations of his condition and how he contributed to science for his whole life. He reminds me to remain steadfast as an occupational therapist, to try my best to help patients overcome their limitations, and to help them realise their unique potential. We can all shine if we have the right opportunity.

Dr Alvin Ip Ho-wan A: In 2011 - I met several young leukemia patients when I was receiving my training. They asked me why their conditions were incurable, but unfortunately there was no answer in medical science back then. If I could turn back time, I would answer with today’s advanced pathology services, and even help other similar patients develop an effective treatment plan.
