Shine and glitter like stars

As a new year dawns, we have stories of passion, dedication, and compassion to share with you in this edition of HASLink.

In our cover story, we cast a light on the spirit and commitment of four colleagues from different disciplines. They are dedicated to caring for their patients and, when they are off duty, their passion to do good spreads to the community. They shine like bright stars, using their knowledge and skills to help people in need, regardless of race and region.

The fai chun on the back cover of this edition was created by Dr Emily Yip, Associate Consultant of Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of New Territories West Cluster. Emily has participated in Occupational Therapy Chinese Calligraphy class to patients who have suffered from strokes, rheumatoid arthritis, or amputation to help them restore hand function and improve their living standard and mental health. In her free time, she volunteers to teach Chinese calligraphy classes for churches and community groups.

These are heartwarming stories to take the chill out of the cold winter days. We hope they bring joy and inspiration to you all as we step together into 2023.

Wish you a great success and healthy Year of Rabbit!
