Establish HA Academy to provide professional training
The Hospital Authority (HA) Academy is being established to consolidate the existing professional training programmes of different institutes under the HA in order to strengthen professional training. It is expected to facilitate career development and progression of staff, and attract more talents to join the HA. It will be established in the first quarter of next year at the soonest. In the long term, the academy will endeavour to peg the courses to the Qualifications Framework to enhance recognition.
Besides, a session on the Spirit of the President's Important Speech was held by the academy earlier. Prof Anthony Wu, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, and Dr Ko Wing-man, member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and Executive Council, were invited to share President Xi Jinping's important speech on 1 July.
