Serving from the heart for 60 years

Year 2021 marks the 60th Anniversary of Cheshire Home, Chung Hom Kok (CCH). The hospital came up with some creative initiatives to celebrate with colleagues and residents at ‘Home’.

CCH provides post-acute care to patients in a homely setting. ‘Home’ has also been adopted as the anniversary theme, with celebration activities including the photography competition and birthday party for residents and staff aged 60. The highlight event of the celebration party and fun day in November 2021 was unveiled by the fun relay ‘Running Home’ outside CCH. Over ten staff members took part in the relay along Chung Hom Kok Road, in a pre-recorded video, while four CCH residents finished the remaining 50m run on site. The team lastly opened the door together, symbolising their mutual support at ‘home’ after going through a bumpy journey shoulder to shoulder.
